Overview -> Hardware Initiation -> Video Card
  1. Definition: This is “eye” of the computer. Working with the external display i.e. the monitor, it gives you a graphical display either of text or pixilated. You can have either a card that’s integrated into the motherboard or an add-on card that is exchangeable. Video cards are becoming small computers meant only to do graphic rendering and the like, but capable of much more.
  2. Generally Encountered Problems with a Video Card:
    1. Overheating. Mainly on add-on cards that have a fan and cooling system. This can lead to system lock ups and general error messages.
    2. Driver Issues. Drivers are software made by the manufacturers for that product to properly interact with your computer.
    3. Bad or unseated video card. Can possibly leave the computer unbootable or prone to random errors.
